Biscuits & Gravy

This recipe, from VegFest Colorado, represents kind comfort food at its best!

We sometimes add cooked & crumbled Gimmie Lean Ground Sausage and/ or sauteed mushrooms to the prepared gravy, but you can also add peas or chopped greens.

Biscuits

1 cup organic whole wheat flour

1 T Agave Nectar or raw sugar

2 T (heaping) baking powder.

1/8 tsp. salt

1 ¼ cups cold hemp or other non-dairy milk

¼ cup canola oil

In a large bowl mix the dry ingredients together.  In a small bowl mix

together the hemp milk and oil and stir it into the flour.

Stir just until blended - Do not over mix.

Drop by heaping Tablespoons on an ungreased cookie

sheet or into muffin tins and bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

Gravy
