

Amanda's Gravy
Try this delicious gravy over a breaded chick’n patty with roasted or mashed potatoes and asparagus. The Bragg’s provides the salt so you should not need to add more.
3 T Earth Balance (or other vegan "butter")
3 T finely diced onion
2 cloves garlic, finely diced
3 T flour
2 T Bragg Liquid Aminos
½ tsp. sage
½ tsp. thyme, crushed
1 cup water
pepper to taste
Melt the Earth Balance in a pan and add the onions and garlic. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, or until the onions are soft and golden brown. Do not burn the onions. Gradually add the flour, stirring constantly. Continue to cook the roux, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Add the Braggs, sage and thyme and stir. Slowly add the water, stirring constantly. Cook gravy to desired consistency then remove from heat.
